The Danish University of Education is a modern postgraduate university that manages research and offers further, research-based education for the entire pedagogical field. As a result, we contribute to an overall increase in the quality of Danish research and education in pedagogy, teaching and skills development.
At present, no Master’s programmes with a special focus on entrepreneurship are offered at the university; however, all Master’s-level studies offer an element of entrepreneurship. In this way, entrepreneurship is considered to be both an important concept and final competence in the planning of all Master’s programmes.
The target group of all Master’s programmes offered at the Danish University of Education are those involved in both the private and public labour markets; and their special, practice-related characteristics make incorporating entrepreneurship as a final competence relevant. The Master’s in Leadership and Innovation in Complex Systems (LAICS) focuses especially on innovation and entrepreneurship, and on how students can build up their competences in order to create and manage innovation in complex systems.
LAICS is centred on connecting management, innovation and complexity in synergetic ways. This Master’s programme equips participants with new skills and tools that will help them to: Manage complex processes in order to achieve innovative results in dynamic environments. Create and manage through productive conditions based on trust and respect. Work with complex problems in ways that maximise opportunities for innovation. Develop a wide range of innovation tools, frameworks and practices. Create productive relations and effective communication conditions between interested parties and clients. Connect people to an idea in order to form pioneering and radical innovation. Design and implement organisational structures and environments that stimulate complexity-based innovation. Transform innovative ideas into effective business models.
LAICS is engaged in the management-related challenges that arise when managing a business in complex systems. The Master’s programme focuses on the build-up and management of innovative networks, both inside and outside of organisations, national and international networks consisting of colleagues, clients, public leaders and trend-setters. Through this approach, the LAICS programme works with the social side of organisations, making it a part of the solution, as opposed to part of the problem. Furthermore, the Learning Lab Denmark is thoroughly engaged in similar entrepreneurship and development-related activities in different learning contexts. Finally, at least two companies have been established with the university as their starting point. |
