The University College of Kristianstad is eastern Skåne’s knowledge centre with 11,000 students enrolled. University studies are a time honoured tradition in the area. The university college has a wide selection of programmes, independent courses and assigned courses.  

The University College of Kristianstad is large enough to offer a wide selection of courses but not so large that would hinder networking for new contacts. Last year slightly more than 11,000 students were enrolled with us, half of which studied full-time. More and more are studying remotely, part time or in another locality. We expect that the municipalities’ educational centre will be, to a great extent, actively involved and a space provided for people locally.

This is important for people who do cannot attend campus. Simultaneously we will be developing the campus area in order to raise active student life. Here there are libraries, restaurants, cafés, sports centres, student union, book stores and student accommodation. Transport facilities are good and in proximity to both the town centre, sea and nature areas. Internationalisation is an increasingly important element in our operations.

The focus is not only on helping Swedish students to acquire foreign placements, but just as must in internationalising on the home front. Our membership with Öresund University and agreements with 90 partner universities in 30 different countries mean that the selection of courses at all of the participating seats of learning stands to your benefit. We are proud of our students and the multiplicity that they represent. Multiplicity expresses itself, among other things, in culture, family background, age, interest and requirements. The individual is of utmost importance to us.

 The work of changing and improving operations, in order to always be able to offer good quality, is continually in progress. We would gladly see that you, as a student, are active in expressing what it is that you feel to be of importance and would see changed.
