But I'm not saying that money itself is necessarily bad, of course. I happen to think that the more mysterious side of Zen, the intangible aspects of it, are really wonderful. But you don't need to worry much about these religions; and I myself don't feel that Zen or Mikkyo, for example, deserve much attention. You can easily see their bad points.

And in one way, one might liken intellectual things to physical objects, whereas those in the subconscious are not at all physical and are considerably more important, and it's necessary to begin thinking in this direction. But it is really a very significant thing that we three—Doron, Charles, and myself—have got together to discuss these things, these deeper questions which are not generally associated with the martial arts. It is my duty as Grandmaster to bring out those aspects that are important—like the other day, when I had photos of ninjutsu in action taken (for publication) in such a way that the faces and their expressions were cut out.
