Though the relatively formal conventionality of this section presents few structural problems, the remaining twelve non-narrative sections pose questions which are at times hard to explain — for example, what is the point of their order of sequence, how do they relate to the central section and to each other? In theory, at least, an answer to these questions should not be difficult, since, if Lucinde does indeed possess its vaunted natural or "organic" form, it ought to be possible to show how all the separate parts form a unified whole.
