We, as adults, are responsible for educating the children who will in turn be responsible for making the twenty-first-century world a better place to live. It is predicted that the world's population will be much more mobile, and in such a mobile society we will have to face the reality of a world of multi-facets, with multi-cultures, multi-values and multi-languages. We hope that this volume will make a contribution in this respect: we also hope that it will stimulate further research into various issues pointed out in the papers collected here.
